Project Overview
Fortune Tiger Deluxe is built around traditional lunar new year imagery and modern slot energy. Audio had to nail the festival-bright feel without slipping into pastiche — bright but never gaudy, energetic but never exhausting.
The Challenge
Asian-themed slot music can fall into a familiar template fast. The brief was to feel unmistakably festive while sounding fresh — both for first-time players and for players who've heard a hundred lunar-themed titles. The win stingers also needed real impact without crossing into clipping or harshness.
Our Approach
We anchored the base game on bright suona and dizi melodies layered over driving percussion (taiko + clave) at 130 BPM. Ornaments were processed lightly with tape saturation to soften the high end. Free-game mode lifts to a wider mix with full string ensemble and choir hits. Win SFX use bell layers tuned to the music key, so wins always land in tune.
The Result
Fortune Tiger Deluxe launched as one of the studio's strongest seasonal titles. Player feedback specifically called out the festive energy as a reason for repeat play during the lunar new year promotional window.
